photographer - myself
model - myself When photographing a person a photographer concentrates on lighting, composition, angles, lenses, focus...and so forth. Who has the best studio? The most up to date camera? Is the photo manipulated? All of these seem to be factors. Sometimes when concentrating on all of these techniques the essence of the model is lost. At the same time we do it everyday. Hide behind our appearance. False emotions. Layers of makeup. Outrageous apparel or in contrast clothes that hide us. We tend to get lost. Perhaps on purpose. Maybe accidentally... Striving for perfection. To fit in a size two. Fantastic hair. Amazing skin... If we all stopped hiding behind mirrors. Using our own reflections as masks. Taking part in the worlds masquerade it makes me wonder if the world would be an easier place to live in. As for the photo... I might submit some of these as separate devs a later date.
